YOUNG MAN: Where are they? They should be here. Koko said to find them on this side of the mountain behind the old house. They aren’t here!
Well, it seems that I have forgotten my roots and under the instruction of my all-knowing grandparents, I have come to fetch them here in the mountains. Snip, snip!
It’s not even that forgot them – not that I forget much, I am not forgetful! It’s just that they were never there in the first place. Nobody give them to me. No one didn’t tell me where to find them. So, I just thought and listened to myself and now here we are. In these mountains…
It’s not my fault I’m like this. I didn’t ask to be born like this. I didn’t choose to be…. Damn it I forgot the word! But I’m not forgetful. I didn’t forget the roots! The roots were not there to begin with!
But now I’m here, in the mountains, waiting to snip-snip! I will find them. As soon as I remember where I put those pruning shears and that basket then I can hack away at these stupid plants, give them to my grandparents and call it a day!
