I was a girl when I hopped onto the bus, But I walked off a woman.
You made me feel human: Every emotion came into my station and I blindly rode every type of sensation.
I watched every building, every street sign and every shop pass by, but no move prepared me for the day I had to say goodbye, to the hopes, and to my dreams of being with you. You hopped off first, so I had no other option but to get off too.
You were once my boon, every word from your mouth, every smile, every action, every minor attraction.
Little did I know you’d get off so soon and all of this would end up being a meaningless swoon.
Maybe I hopped on the bus a little too fast, I was a girl when I got on, but now I walk as a woman, without making my feelings my subjection. I wish the bus we rode together on once in the past had never moved in our direction.
