To put it bluntly, and in complete honesty,
Writing your name with my pen is exciting!
I scratch and etch from the centre of the page to the edge
If I weren’t so scared of needles, I’d consider inking your name
on my chest, for you to spell and recite as you lay…
In complete honesty…
To put it bluntly, and to get to the point.
I ran out of ink the other day…
Writing your name with my pen was exciting,
but now writing your name with my pencil doesn’t feel as permanent.
It smudges; threatening it could be erased even without my say.
To not beat around the bush,
I lose patience to keep at it,
To keep writing, to keep drawing,
to complete…
My grip is unfamiliar with each line and stroke,
I do not know how much longer I can continue pressing on…
penciling … in between busy pages in my diary.
To put it bluntly, my marks of your name have grown a little dull
To not be beat by the end of a broken tip,
let me sharpen up, and to get to a new point.
To keep writing, to keep drawing.
To keep …
