Inside my room

Written by: Cody Collins

My door was left open

nothing but a noisy hinge and clutter

This was my room

As I walked inside i felt a breeze

my shadow-finder window took control of my body

and brought me to my knees

This was my room

Broken cupboards falling apart

Its not easy to start

I found a way in but my looted laundry paid the price

This was my room

A leaking roof

what looked like water and dripped like blood

a dry wetness fell on my skin

was this my room I was in?

This was my heart
